Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood
The book that i am reading is called Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood, the author is Eileen Cook. I am about half way through the book and i just can't put it down. I thought in the beginning that it was going to be another one of those books that you just have to get through but i was wrong. This book is about a two girls Helen and Lauren. They are best friends for life or at least they were. As they were going into high school Lauren told the principal the senior prank and she told the whole school that Helen told the principal instead. So then Lauren started to become more and more popular and left her best freind in the dust. After about a year Helen moved to New York and makes a whole new lonley life for herself but at least it is without Lauren Wood. After a about two years she had to move back to live with her grandma. She was so angry with Lauren Wood she had to get revenge. Because Helen's appearence had changed so drasticly she decided to change her name and become best friends with Lauren again and sabotage her life by stealing her boyfriend and putting hot pepper sauce in her mascara. I just want to know whether Lauren is going to figure out that her new best friend is really her ex best friend.

I have never read a book by Eileen Cook before, but I am going to read a book by her for my next independent reading project. And i cant wait to start it. Also about your comment on why i liked this book so much, i think that i liked how it just started with a conflict. Most books that i read always seem to start out with a boring introduction but this book was different because even though is started with an introduction it was a past conflict between the characters. Also i liked how it kept on going with new revenge plans to keep that past situation in the picture.

I finally finished the book and it is officially the best book i have read so far in my life. The ending wasnt a perfect happy ending but it was definitely a peaceful ending.
In the second to last chapter Lauren Wood got caught with pills in her handbag, but she said and everyone new that the pills werent hers. Lauren got taken out of play practice and had to go with the principal and meet with her mother. Helen had put the pills in her bag but that was before she decided to end her revenge plan on Lauren Wood.
In the last chapter of the book Helen decided the only way she was going to make Karma go away was if she did something good. The good thing that she decided to do was to write in the school paper that (Claire) was actually Helen and that the drugs were not laurens, Helen put them in her bag. The night before she put the comments in the paper she had to tell Christopher her boyfriend everything that happened. by telling Christopher the truth she was saving her relationship and also showing how she truely wanted things between them to work out.
After school the day the paper was coming out Helen went to laurens house and told her everything that she did and was going to write in the paper. The peaceful ending was that Christopher and Helen made up and everything between lauren and Helen were not solved but were put behind them.
