Dear John (2nd half)

I finished the book Dear John. The ending of the book is shocking. I expected a certain ending and got another that ruined the book for me personally. John enrolls in another 3 years in the service due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Once he enrolls he soon realizes this is a big mistake. The end of the story was tragic, but i dont want to ruin in for anyone who hasnt finished the book yet. I did not like the ending of Dear John, and found it hard to read it. During the first half i couldnt put it down, and now i dont want to pick it up. The story picked up a sudden, disappointing twist, and overall it ruined the book for me.
