Jake Reinvented

The author of Gordon Korman comes the book Jake, Reinvented. It's a story about a mysterious boy who comes to a school full of excited people who want to hang out with Jake. As soon as he gets comfortable with the school (which doesn't take that long) he's already off to a start with his HUGE parties which everyone wants to go to. After a while, Jake is the most popular boy in the high school who instantly makes the first person he meets popular, Rick. Every Friday, they throw a unforgettable party at Jake's house. But then week, after week, after week there are more and more anonymous people that show up at his party and the more people there were, the less Jake cared about who came. The parties became lifeless and more boring as people crashed the parties each week.
One day before a party, Rick goes up to Jake's room and sees Jake working on essays. He thinks about this and he goes up to the computer and sees that Jake is doing college essays! Looking around all he sees is trophies from math contests and "nerdy" stuff. He realizes that people are paying him to write these essays and it comes to him that thats where he gets all the money for each party. Word gets around that he use to be a loser or a nerd at a another school.
The story is almost similiar to the plot of Stargirl.
