The book i read for the second marking period was "Remember Me?" by Sophie Kinsella. This book is about a twenty- eight year old girl living in London, named Lexi Smart, who wakes up in a hospital one day and realized all of her dreams she once wished for had come true. Lexi had woken up looking gorgeous, having a millionare husband, a new loft, a personal assistant, a set of new friends, and finally began a corporate business worker. She had lost memory of everything that happened in the past three years. The last thing she remembered was being drunk and falling off a curb in 2005. Lexi was told she had amnesia, and the doctors weren't sure if her memory would come back in a day or in a year, so all she could do was wait. She was miserable, and she found out that all of her old friends hated her now and wanted nothing to do with her. Her husband had made a book of everything that may spark memories, but nothing helped. Until finally....
I think the theme of this story was not to wish for too much, because after Lexi woke up and her mind was in her body three years later and had everything she once wanted, she hated all of it.
I reccomend this book to most girls in our grade because it is very funny and will keep your interest going. THe author also wrote the story "COnfessions of a Shopoholic", which is a movie coming outt.
