Kate A:
For the third marking period reading project, I read Eleven Seconds. It's a true story about a guy named Travis Roy who is a very accomplished hockey player. Travis tells us about his life and how it changed dramatically in his first game at Boston University. Travis had worked hard all his life, with one goal in mind; be a division one hockey player. Everything seemed to be working out when Travis graduated Tabor Academy with a full hockey scholarship to Boston University. The in his first game as a Terrier Travis missed his check and went flying into the boards head first; He had broken his neck. This novel will take you on an emotional roller coaster telling you the tragic, heartwarming, and inspiring events Travis went through on his road to recovery. You will learn that no matter how bad things are going, with a little hope and determination you can always find a way to be happy and look forward to the future. I highly suggest Eleven Seconds to anyone you is an athlete or sports fan.

Kate, this book seems like it is very interesting. I definitely am interested in reading this. It probably teaches you a lot of lessons especially not to take things for granted.
