I am reading Nobody Likes You: The Turbulent Life, Times, and Music of Green Day by Marc Spitz. It is a pretty good book, but most likely you won't like it unless you are a Green Day fan. It has multiple quotes even from people who have died like Jason Andrew Relva, also known as J.A.R., from the song J.A.R. who died in a car accident. It also tells about the childhoods of Green Day, which were pretty bad. It really puts together the lyrics and meanings of the songs of Green Day.
