The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games is a book written by Suzanne Collins. It is about two people named Katniss and Peeta who are chosen to participate in these things called the Hunger Games. The Hunger games are the name given to the event where twenty four tributes were placed in an outdoors arena and over a period of seven weeks had to fight each other to the death. The final survivor is considered the victor. The Hunger Games occur so that the government can remind the citizens that it would be impossible for them to survive another uprising. Katniss is a poor widows daughter that has to hunt and work to support her mother and her sister. Peeta is a bakers son who halfway through the games tells Katniss he loves her. The Hunger Games take you through some twists and turns that you never expect coming. I highly recommend reading this book because it is interesting thrilling and will always keep you on the edge of your seat.
